For the IKUNA nature resort in Natternbach, I photographed the interiors – restaurant, bar and lounge, designed by Norbert Bruckner.
Hospitality photography follows different rules than architectural photography. It is less about the building and more about the atmosphere: a guest decides within seconds whether they can picture an evening at this bar. That's why light takes centre stage – the illuminated lattice room divider, the indirect lighting behind the bar, the warm zones between the seating areas.
The design combines modern furniture with regional motifs: blue armchairs, wooden surfaces, antlers in the restaurant. The resort doesn't want to feel urban, but to fit its landscape.
