For Josko, I photographed a flat-roofed bungalow by Norbert Bruckner – a house consisting almost entirely of glass surfaces, set beside a swimming pond.
Josko elements define it inside and out: lift-and-slide doors to the terrace, a designer front door, flush wooden interior doors and frameless all-glass walls to the atrium. Flush interior doors in particular are a photographic challenge of their own – after all, they are deliberately meant not to stand out.
In the evening, the house turns itself inside out. Where during the day the view goes outwards, at dusk the glass fronts glow outwards and the house itself becomes a source of light by the pond.
