For architect Norbert Haderer, I photographed the funeral hall in Gallneukirchen – a place where people say goodbye.
That shapes the work. It was not about making a building impressive, but about capturing its calm. The curved timber roof, the wooden ceiling inside, the soft bands of light and the light terrazzo floor in the foyer – everything is designed to keep the space warm and quiet.
Photographed in daylight and at dusk, when the illuminated timber roof and the slats become visible from outside. No people, no staging – just the architecture.
