For Böhler Fenster, I photographed a residential house fitted with window and door elements by Böhler and Palisa Bauelemente.
Window photography is a discipline of its own. Ideally, the product is invisible – you look through it, not at it. It only becomes visible through what it makes possible: a glass gable façade, a continuous lift-and-slide door to the covered terrace, large fixed glazing without distracting frames.
That's why the focus is on dusk. When the lights are on inside and the sky outside still has colour, the glass surface becomes the image – and the frames recede.
The house sits on a slope, complemented by a natural stone wall and Corten steel planters.
