For Gahleitner Architekten, I photographed an apartment in Bregenz overlooking Lake Constance – cubic architecture outside, lots of colour inside.
Royal blue armchairs, a blue accent wall and calm designer furniture: inside, the house is much bolder than its exterior suggests. It was exactly this contrast that I wanted to capture in the series.
The strongest moment was sunset. The roof terrace opens up to the lake, and when the lounge furniture is lit and the sky over Lake Constance turns, the weight of the whole house shifts outdoors.
