For Gahleitner Architekten, I photographed a villa on Lake Constance near Bregenz – a house whose façade wraps around the building in soft waves.
These curves are the theme of the series: in portrait format from the garden side, where the façade appears like a taut ribbon, and in the detail of the stacked balconies, illuminated against the evening sky.
Dusk was the decisive moment. Only when the light inside takes over and the pool reflects the façade does the form reveal itself the way it was intended.
