For Gaulhofer, I photographed the Golden Hill Eco-Luxury Resort in Southern Styria – free-standing chalets and suites with infinity pools, fitted with window and door systems by Gaulhofer.
At a resort like this, the transition to the outdoors is the actual product. A wide-open lift-and-slide door with an illuminated infinity pool behind it – that is the moment a guest books for, and at the same time the moment in which the window system does its job.
That's why the focus is on the blue hour. Then interior light and sky are in balance, the Corten steel elements take on colour, and the floor-to-ceiling glazing almost completely disappears.
